DUI Booting
In Florida, “DUI booting” refers to a court-ordered immobilization or impoundment of a vehicle after a DUI conviction, typically for a set period of days, such as 10, 30, or 90 days, depending on the severity and number of prior DUI offenses. This is a mandatory requirement under Florida law, and the court will order this unless the defendant can demonstrate an exception applies.
